Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in Business Mathematics, Mathematics or Physics with a strong economic focus.
• Initial practical experience in insurance or financial services (internships or working student roles).

Aufgaben

• Structured onboarding and take on responsibility for placement process from origination to underwriting decisions.
• Review and assess enquiries for structured reinsurance solutions and negotiate with clients.
• Manage and renew existing reinsurance contracts and coordinate data with quality standards.
• Prepare actuarially sound analyses and projections to ensure profitability.
• Maintain relationships and support development of partnerships with regular meetings in Hannover and worldwide.
• Collaborate with Underwriting, Actuarial, Accounting and Natural Catastrophe Modelling teams.

You can look forward to

• Starting with a structured onboarding programme and gradually taking on responsibility for managing the placement process - from business origination and pricing through to final underwriting decisions
• Reviewing and assessing enquiries for structured reinsurance solutions, developing tailored concepts and conducting negotiations with clients
• Managing and renewing existing reinsurance contracts, as well as planning, monitoring and coordinating business data in line with defined quality standards
• Preparing actuarially sound analyses and projections to ensure and actively manage the profitability of reinsurance contracts
• Maintaining existing business relationships and supporting the development of new partnerships, including regular in-person meetings in Hannover and worldwide
• Working closely with our (international) colleagues in Underwriting, Actuarial, Accounting and Natural Catastrophe Modelling

You come equipped with

• A completed Master's degree in Business Mathematics, Mathematics or Physics with a strong economic focus
• Initial practical experience in the insurance or financial services sector, for example through internships or working student roles
• Confident use of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Proficient user skills in German and English
• Willingness to travel internationally (approximately five to six trips per year)
• A solution-oriented, forward-thinking and responsible approach to work combined with excellent communication and teamwork skills
