Hannover Re is seeking a Team Manager for Reinsurance Accounting at our Hannover headquarters. In this role, you will lead and support a collaborative environment while managing complex accounting processes. You should possess strong experience in change management within the insurance sector, alongside a business degree.

Let's connect: If you want to experience how things are done in the Group Finance and Accounting, Reinsurance Accounting team at our headquarters in Hannover / Germany, join us on a permanent basis, commencing at the earliest possible date as a Team Manager Reinsurance Accounting. Together, we ensure the accurate representation of complex reinsurance business and continuously evolve our processes. You will play a key role in an international environment: strengthening team spirit, developing your people, and driving the transformation towards digital, standardised, and automated accounting processes.

• Professional and disciplinary leadership of the team, including budget and resource planning
• Fostering a collaborative, trust-based working environment and supporting the continuous development of team members
• Leading and driving change and transformation initiatives, ensuring their sustainable implementation
• Responsibility for stable and high-quality delivery of reinsurance accounting processes for defined costomers and portfolios
• Driving digital accounting through standardisation, process optimisation, and automation
• Identifying opportunities to reduce complexity and continuously improve processes and systems

You come equipped with

• Degree in business administration or a comparable qualification
• Proven experience in change management and transforming established working practices
• Several years of experience in (re)insurance accountingStrong expertise in statements of account processing and current account management
• In-depth knowledge of HGB and IFRS accounting standards
• Solid experience with SAP (especially FS-RI, FS-CD) and a strong affinity for IT topics
• Initial experience in a professional or disciplinary leadership role
• Business fluent German and English as well as willingness to travel worldwide
• A strong ability to manage complexity, adapt to changing environments, and collaborate effectively across teams and functions
