Zusammenfassung

Gbtec AG in Bochum seeks an IT Infrastructure Team Lead to shape our future IT landscape with a modern, cloud-based, AI-enabled platform. You will lead the local infrastructure team and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external providers to deliver secure, scalable workstations in a Microsoft 365 environment for a growing software company.

Qualifikationen

• Successfully completed vocational training or a degree, with experience in IT project and demand management specializing in cloud services.
• Experience in leading small teams or willingness to step into a leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Azure Services.
• Good knowledge of security technologies and cyber security awareness.
• Experience in managing external service providers and IT suppliers.
• Structured, analytical and solution-oriented approach to work.
• Strong service-oriented mindset and excellent communication skills.
• Good command of German and English.

Aufgaben

• Lead our IT infrastructure team (currently 2 staff) and expand the team.
• Manage priorities, resources and staff development.
• Promote a service- and solution-oriented IT culture with continuous improvement.
• Capture, evaluate and prioritize IT requirements from business units.
• Advise on selection and optimization of business applications and digital platforms.
• Plan, manage and implement IT projects from requirements to go-live.
• Develop roadmaps for the strategic development of the internal system landscape.
• Develop and maintain IT infrastructure and Modern Workplace Services.
• Oversee Microsoft 365, Azure and other cloud services, and security considerations.
• Make architecture decisions with international growth in mind.

IT Infrastructure Team Lead (m/f/d)

As IT Infrastructure Team Lead (m/f/d), you will shape GBTEC’s future IT landscape and lay the foundations for efficient, secure and scalable workstations in the Microsoft 365 environment within an internationally growing software company. In doing so, you will consistently develop our IT infrastructure towards a modern, cloud-based, automated and AI-enabled platform. You will ensure that our employees worldwide benefit from innovative technologies and that new digital solutions can be rolled out quickly, securely and effectively. You will lead our local infrastructure team and act as the central point of contact for the requirements of our business units. Together with internal stakeholders and external service providers, you will develop solutions that optimally support our growth strategy.

Leadership & Organisation

• Technical and organisational leadership, as well as the expansion of our IT infrastructure team (currently 2 staff members)
• Managing the team’s priorities, resources and further development
• Promoting a service- and solution-oriented IT culture, as well as continuous improvement

IT Demand & Project Management

• Central point of contact between IT and business units for capturing, evaluating and prioritising new requirements
• Advising business units on the selection, implementation and optimisation of business applications and digital platforms
• Planning, managing and successfully implementing IT projects from requirements gathering through to go‑live
• Developing roadmaps for the strategic development of our internal system landscape

IT Infrastructure & Digital Workplace

• Responsibility for the further development of our global IT infrastructure and Modern Workplace Services
• Active management and further development of Microsoft 365, Azure and other cloud services
• Ensuring stable, secure and scalable IT operations
• Responsibility for IT architecture decisions with a view to internationalisation and business growth
• Introduction of modern technologies, standards and processes to increase efficiency and security

Vendor, Cost & Service Management

• Management of external service providers, managed service providers and technology partners
• Responsibility for demand, service, licence and cost management
• Negotiating and monitoring service levels and ensuring a high standard of service quality
• Continuous optimisation of the IT cost structure and the benefits of the solutions in use

Your profile

• Successfully completed vocational training or a degree, and experience as an IT project and demand manager specialising in cloud services
• Experience in leading small teams or the motivation to take the next step into a leadership role
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Azure Services
• Good knowledge of security technologies and a strong awareness of cyber security
• Experience in managing external service providers and IT suppliers
• A structured, analytical and solution-oriented approach to work
• A strong service-oriented mindset and excellent communication skills
• Good command of German and English
