Qualifikationen

• Desirable: High-Voltage certification and firmware diagnostics knowledge.

We are seeking a Freelance BMS Specialist for a 12-month contract in Munich with a leading renewable energy developer. You will lead high-voltage BESS integration, system testing, and commissioning on active GW-scale storage assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, test, and commission utility-scale Battery Management Systems (BMS).
• Integrate communication protocols (Modbus, CAN bus, IEC 61850) between BMS, PCS, and SCADA.
• Validate SoC, SoH, thermal runaway, and safety parameter settings.
• Resolve on-site technical bottlenecks alongside high-voltage commissioning teams.

Requirements

• Essential: Commercial/utility BESS experience, strong CAN/Modbus skills, fluent German (B2/C1+), and willingness to be on-site in Munich.
• Desirable: High-Voltage certification (Schaltberechtigung), knowledge of VDE-AR-N 4110/4120 grid standards, and firmware diagnostic skills.
