Job summary

Snowprint Studios develops games, including Legends of Solgard, Rivengard, and Warhammer 40,000: Tacticus. The studio focuses on creating games and fostering a friendly, supportive, and inspiring work environment.

Задачи

• Develop backend features for Tacticus and own parts of the backend systems, from planning and technical design through development, testing, and live operations
• Improve and evolve existing systems to support the needs of a growing live game
• Own and improve the cloud environment using AWS and infrastructure-as-code
• Build, maintain, and evolve the systems running the game
• Collaborate with security and compliance specialists to keep development and live environments running smoothly
• Work with developers, designers, and other disciplines to shape technical solutions and solve problems
• Participate in playtests and investigate issues in development and live environments
• Take part in on-call work

Требования

• Experienced backend developer with a strong professional background in building and operating live services
• Fluent in Java and/or Kotlin and comfortable designing and building robust backend systems
• Able to make decisions, move quickly, and evolve existing systems as requirements change
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS
• Comfortable owning and maintaining cloud environments using infrastructure-as-code
• Comfortable troubleshooting production issues, participating in on-call work, and balancing immediate problems with longer-term improvements
• Self-directed and collaborative, with clear communication skills and the ability to explain technical decisions and work across disciplines
• Comfortable adapting as priorities change and moving between feature development, infrastructure, troubleshooting, and other technical challenges
• Application should be in English Будет плюсом: Gaming experience, particularly in live games or LiveOps environments
