We are looking for an Area Sales Manager who will be responsible for supporting the countries in Europe and South Africa - with a focus on the UK - in order to strengthen the presence of our SWF partners by acquiring new customers and further expanding existing customer relationships.
You will be the first point of contact for our SWF partners when it comes to consulting, quoting, selling, and supporting our products. You will play a central role as an interface between our partners and internal departments - from processing offers and orders to clarifying technical customer questions and support requests.
This is what we offer you :
- Detailed on-the-job training
- Hybrid working and flexible working hours
- Fully equipped kitchen with free coffee, tea, and fresh fruit
- Versatile support programs for employees (health & pension benefits, assistance with consumer issues, legal issues, or psycho-social concerns through external counseling)
- Employee discounts (corporate benefits)
- Individual training and development opportunities
- Free parking and good public transport connections
What you can do with us :
- Responsibility : Direct reporting to the Sales Director of the SWF brand in Germany, close coordination in all business-relevant topics, as well as supporting cooperation with relevant functional managers.
- Strategy development : Co-design and implementation of a global B2B sales strategy to strengthen the regional competitive position, including complete market coverage and development of holistic solutions instead of individual products.
- Customer management : Advising, managing, and supporting SWF partners as part of key account management (technical and commercial); active sales responsibility for products and services with possible expansion to additional regions.
- Target orientation : Negotiating sales terms, setting and following up on targets (e.g., product mix, turnover, market share), monitoring target achievement, and ensuring compliance with contracts, ethical standards, and internal guidelines (DOA).
- Team leadership : Further developing and coaching the internal sales team, managing sales-related processes using sales tools and SAP, ensuring lead generation, market transparency, structured reporting, and contributing to overall business planning.
What you need to bring :
- Education : Completed technical or commercial training or a corresponding degree (diploma or comparable).
- Personality : Independent, structured, and goal-oriented work approach with strong planning and organizational skills; high personal responsibility and strong interpersonal and sales skills.
- Experience : At least five years of professional experience in a multinational company (MNC), with regular international travel in the region; experience in technical sales of lifting equipment or crane applications is advantageous.
- Specialized knowledge : Sound knowledge of local and regional markets; experience in sales and planning of solutions related to wire rope and chain hoists, control systems, CraneKit, or LightCrane solutions for material handling.
- IT and language skills : Confident use of sales-related tools and SAP; very good knowledge of English (native speaker preferred); additional languages are an advantage.
