Zusammenfassung

Jobtailor is recruiting for an Applications Engineer role in Germany. The candidate will research, design, and support cross-system application solutions, transforming business requirements into functional tech specs, and leading testing and deployment activities.

Senior responsibilities include end-to-end backlog delivery and mentoring peers, working across clinical, imaging, and revenue domains while collaborating with clinicians and business leaders.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience with application configuration, system workflows, business processes, system integrations, interfaces, and data flow

Aufgaben

• Research, collect, compile, and analyze information for operational projects and initiatives
• Identify opportunities, develop solutions, and lead issues through resolution
• Collaborate on performance improvement activities related to program efficiency and patient experience
• Distribute analytical reports and create educational materials
• Design, configure, integrate, and support application solutions across multiple systems, platforms, modules, and workflows
• Translate business requirements into functional and technical solutions aligned with product backlogs and organizational priorities
• Perform system configuration, builds, interfaces, and data exchange activities
• Troubleshoot and resolve application and integration issues with technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders
• Develop and lead testing activities, including scenarios, test scripts, strategy, planning, execution, and validation
• Participate in or lead implementations, upgrades, application onboarding, process transformation, and post-deployment support
• Analyze workflows, system performance, usage, and operational metrics to recommend improvements
• Collaborate with product teams, technical engineers, clinicians, business leaders, and other stakeholders
• Contribute to functional specifications, knowledge base articles, standard operating procedures, documentation, standards, and best practices
• Senior: Own end-to-end backlog delivery and provide technical guidance, mentoring, and support to other engineers

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Applications Engineer: 5–7 years of experience in application support, application analysis, or related IT roles
• Senior Applications Engineer: 7+ years of experience in application engineering, application support, or related IT roles
• Experience with application configuration, system workflows, business processes, system integrations, interfaces, and data flow
• Experience troubleshooting application and integration issues
• Experience supporting or leading testing activities, implementations, upgrades, or enhancement efforts
• Ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical solutions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work across multiple applications, systems, or functional areas
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with technical teams, business stakeholders, and vendors
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment
• Senior: Working knowledge of IT service management processes, including incident, change, and problem management
• Senior: Demonstrated informal leadership, including mentoring, guiding peers, and contributing to standards and best practices
