Job summary

Finance in Motion GmbH in Frankfurt is seeking a financially savvy professional to support fund management, ALM, and strategic development of impact investment funds.

You will prepare analyses, assist senior management, and contribute to fundraising and investor reporting in an international team environment.

Qualifications

• University degree in economics, finance or business administration or a related field.
• First work experience in asset management, banking/finance, or consulting.
• Experience in financial analysis and asset-liability management.
• Analytical, numbers-driven with strong Excel skills (advantage).
• International mindset and excellent English communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial analyses for funds, including financial planning and portfolio management.
• Support portfolio managers and senior management in strategic fund matters.
• Assist fundraising and reporting to governments, IFIs, and investors.
• Develop infrastructure for asset-liability management and ALCO analyses.
• Contribute to new initiatives and fund structuring.

Job description

The Fund Management team acts as a primary counterpart for senior management for the overall fund management and strategic development of our funds, including management and coordination of strategic fund projects, governance bodies and service providers. Our functional responsibilities further include business planning, financial and asset-liability management, and improving/optimizing the funds' structures. The team plays instrumental role in portfolio management and fundraising. At Finance in Motion, we are the expert team when it comes to the financials, structure & mechanics, and strategic development of our impact investment funds.

Key Qualifications:

• Prepare financial analyses for our funds, e.g., financial planning, portfolio management, key performance drivers, and business planning
• Support portfolio manager and senior management in strategic matters and general fund management of our fund mandates
• Support fundraising from and reporting to investors including governments, international financial institutions and private investors
• Develop the infrastructure used for asset liability management and prepare analyses for ALCO meetings for our funds
• Contribute to the development and structuring of new initiatives launched from time to time

What we expect:

• University degree in economics, finance or business administration or a related field
• First work experience (e.g. internships or first job) in asset management, banking/finance, or consulting
• Experience/Expertise in financial analysis, asset-liability management, structuring, and/or familiarity with various (legal) investment funds' structures
• Self-starter with analytical and strategic mindset; strong analytical skills, affinity to numbers, strong command of Excel is an advantage
• Team player with an international mindset and intercultural skills
• Strong communication skills in internal and external settings. Excellent English language skills (working language)
• Interest in impact investing, development finance, green finance and development economies and demonstrable commitment to Finance in Motion's vision/mission
