IronMaxx Nutrition GmbH in Germany seeks an experienced Accounts Payable Accountant to own supplier accounting and contribute to broader financial accounting activities. You ensure accurate bookings, timely payments and reliable financial information while driving process improvements.

You will handle invoice processing, reconciliations, VAT returns and support monthly closings, with SAP knowledge and excellent Excel skills.

Formación

• Completed commercial vocational training; ideally with further accounting qualifications.
• At least five years of accounts payable experience, preferably with broader financial accounting responsibilities.
• Proven ability to manage supplier invoices, payment runs, reconciliations and discrepancy resolution.

Responsabilidades

• Check, code and post incoming supplier invoices and ensure timely payment.
• Reconcile supplier accounts and manage intercompany postings.
• Support fixed asset accounting and inventory accounting activities.
• Prepare VAT returns and Intrastat/One-Stop-Shop declarations where applicable.
• Assist monthly and annual closings and contribute to process improvement and digitalisation of accounting.

As an Accounts Payable Accountant, you take ownership of supplier accounting and contribute to broader financial accounting activities. You help ensure accurate bookings, timely supplier payments and reliable financial information while actively improving the processes that support our growth.

Accounts Payable & Financial Accounting

• Check, code and post incoming supplier invoices
• Ensure liabilities are paid on time in accordance with agreed payment terms and internal approval procedures
• Prepare and execute payment runs within established authorisation rules
• Maintain, monitor and reconcile supplier accounts
• Investigate invoice discrepancies and resolve outstanding items
• Communicate with suppliers and internal departments to clarify accounting matters
• Perform intercompany postings and reconciliations
• Support fixed asset accounting
• Perform inventory accounting activities and contribute to inventory valuation
• Post and monitor provisions and accruals
• Support short- and long-term liquidity planning, particularly through visibility on upcoming supplier payments
• Post and reconcile bank and cash transactions
• Maintain accurate supplier and accounting master data

Closing, Reporting & Process Improvement

• Support monthly and annual financial statements
• Prepare and submit VAT returns within your assigned responsibilities
• Prepare Intrastat and One-Stop-Shop declarations where applicable
• Ensure reconciliations and supporting documentation are complete and accurate
• Help optimise and develop our accounts payable processes
• Actively contribute to the digitalisation and automation of financial accounting

Your Skillset - As Strong As Our Protein

• Completed commercial vocational training, ideally with further qualifications in accounting
• At least five years of experience in accounts payable, preferably including broader financial accounting responsibilities
• Proven ability to independently manage supplier invoices, payment runs, account reconciliations and discrepancy resolution
• Sound knowledge of ERP systems; SAP experience, ideally SAP Business One, is an advantage
• Very good Excel skills
• A solid understanding of accounting relationships, including the profit and loss statement and balance sheet
• Experience supporting monthly and annual closings
• Structured, accurate and independent working style
• Strong sense of ownership and confidence working with numbers
• A collaborative, communicative and solution-oriented approach
• Very good German and good English, both written and spoken
• Flexibility, openness to new tools and motivation to improve processes
