Qualifikationen

• Degree in accounting, finance, business administration or comparable qualification.

• Responsibility for the accounting processes of multiple entities and ensuring complete and accurate financial reporting
• Managing the full month-end closing process, including the general ledger, balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and consolidation
• Preparing and analyzing profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses
• Leading an accounting team and supporting employees’ professional and personal development
• Continuously enhancing accounting processes, systems, and structures to improve efficiency
• Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal accounting policies
• Designing and optimizing internal control systems for financial reporting and accounting
• Analyzing variances, financial developments, and key performance indicators, and deriving recommendations for action
• Supporting budgets and forecasts in close collaboration with management and business functions
• Monitoring cash flow and budget variances and providing transparency for financial decision-making
• Supporting external audits and coordinating the timely provision of relevant documents and information
• Collaborating with international finance teams, management, and other business functions

Requirements

• Degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in accounting and finance
• Experience with managerial or functional leadership responsibilities
• Strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB), ideally complemented by knowledge of IFRS and international accounting standards
• Ideally, experience with an audit firm or Big Four environment
• Experience with month-end closing, financial reporting, consolidation, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Strong analytical skills and confidence in interpreting complex financial data
• Experience optimizing accounting processes and internal control systems
• Leadership skills and the ability to motivate employees and support their professional development
• Structured, detail-oriented, and reliable working style
• Strong stakeholder management and international communication skills
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Proficiency with modern ERP and accounting systems
• Ideally, knowledge of Epicor and/or OneStream
