Aufgaben

• Take overall responsibility for the Finance function and lead the accounting team.
• Oversee financial accounting in line with German GAAP (HGB).
• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes.
• Collaborate with tax advisors, auditors and external stakeholders.
• Drive liquidity planning, cash flow and working capital.
• Monitor accounts receivable, accounts payable and payments.
• Develop management reporting and KPI frameworks.
• Prepare budgets and forecasts; analyze variances.
• Provide recommendations to the executive team and management.
• Improve Finance processes and implement automation, particularly in DATEV.

• Take overall responsibility for the Finance function and lead the accounting team
• Assume overall responsibility for financial accounting in accordance with German GAAP (HGB)
• Manage and further develop the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes
• Collaborate with tax advisors, auditors, and other external stakeholders
• Take responsibility for liquidity planning, cash flow, and working capital
• Manage and monitor accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payment processes
• Ensure reliable and transparent financial data
• Further develop management reporting and relevant KPIs
• Prepare and support budgeting and forecasting processes
• Analyze budget-to-actual variances and identify risks and required actions at an early stage
• Prepare business performance, scenario, and ad hoc analyses
• Derive concrete recommendations for the executive team and management
• Work closely with the executive team on financial and commercial matters
• Translate figures and developments into clear decision-making information
• Proactively identify risks, opportunities, and potential for improvement
• Challenge existing processes and structures
• Analyze and continuously improve Finance processes
• Identify and implement automation and digitalization opportunities, particularly within the DATEV environment
• Reduce manual processes and create efficient, transparent, and traceable workflows
• Develop appropriate standards and internal control mechanisms
• Independently manage improvement projects from conception through implementation
• Provide professional leadership and support the development of the accounting team
• Establish clear responsibilities and efficient workflows
• Promote ownership and knowledge sharing
• Work closely with HR, Operations, and other areas of the business
• Support the development of scalable organizational structures

Requirements

• Several years of professional experience in Finance and Accounting, ideally in a mid-sized company
• In-depth knowledge of accounting in accordance with German GAAP (HGB)
• Experience with monthly and annual financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and liquidity planning
• Experience with professional or disciplinary team leadership
• Confident use of DATEV and digital accounting processes
• Ability to interpret financial figures and derive actionable recommendations
• Analytical and structured approach, combined with a pragmatic and solution-oriented mindset
• Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and implement changeWillingness to take ownership and drive topics forward independently
• Willingness to constructively challenge established approaches
• Very good German and good English skills
• A degree with a focus on Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration is welcome
• Equivalent qualifications and relevant experience gained through an alternative career path are also welcome
