Job summary

ZIMMERMANN PV-Steel Group is seeking an Accountant (m/f/d) to manage and maintain our accounts and prepare quarterly and annual financial statements. You will work closely with tax advisers and authorities and support with reporting across the group.

The ideal candidate has commercial training or a business degree, with accounting experience under HGB. We offer flexible hours, long-term employment, security, and opportunities in a growing renewable energy company in Germany.

Qualifications

• Commercial apprenticeship or business administration degree with accounting exposure.
• Experience with German GAAP (HGB) accounting preferred.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills; team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Independently managing and maintaining the accounts.
• Preparing quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Assisting with tax-related matters and with authorities.
• Supporting with reporting and preparation of reports.
• Entry and posting of invoices; internal and external reconciliations.
• Group company reconciliations and statistical returns.

Your tasks:

• Independently managing and maintaining the accounts
• Preparing quarterly and annual financial statements
• Assisting with the review of tax-related matters
• Providing support with reporting and the preparation of reports
• Working closely with tax advisers and the authorities
• Assisting with the entry and posting of incoming and outgoing invoices
• Internal and external account reconciliation
• Reconciliation activities within group companies
• Compiling and submitting statistical returns

What we expect from you:

• Commercial apprenticeship followed by further training leading to qualification as an accountant
• Or a degree in business administration, possibly with some initial experience in accounting
• Knowledge of the Deutsche Bundesbank’s reporting requirements in the field of foreign trade would be an advantage
• Experience in accounting in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) would be desirable
• An independent, conscientious and solution-oriented approach to work
