Zusammenfassung

OSM Thome is seeking an Offshore Crane Operator (CRO) for an offshore construction vessel in the North Sea. You will join a skilled deck and marine crew, supporting safe lifting operations in challenging conditions.

Responsibilities include crane operation, planning lifts, coordinating with deck and bridge teams, and performing inspections. Offshore rotation and English communication are essential. Safety and permit-to-work compliance are required.

Qualifikationen

• Proven offshore CRO experience on construction or similar vessels.
• Valid offshore crane certification per North Sea requirements.
• STCW Basic Safety Training and offshore medical certificate.
• Strong safety awareness and knowledge of lifting operations and signals.
• Good English communication and ability to work in a mixed-nationality crew.
• Fit for offshore rotation including rough weather and shift patterns.

Join OSM Thome as a AB/ Crane Operator (CRO) on an offshore construction vessel working in the North Sea. You will be part of a skilled deck and marine crew, supporting safe and efficient offshore operations in demanding conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Operate offshore cranes for lifting, moving and setting cargo, equipment and structures
• Plan and execute lifts in line with approved lifting plans and company procedures
• Work closely with deck crew, bridge and construction team during all lifting operations
• Carry out pre-use checks, routine inspections and basic maintenance of crane equipment
• Monitor weather, sea state and vessel movement and adjust operations as required
• Ensure safe deck operations and strict compliance with HSE rules and permit-to-work systems

Requirements

• Proven experience as Offshore Crane Operator (CRO) on construction or similar offshore vessels
• Valid offshore crane certification in line with North Sea requirements
• STCW basic safety training and valid offshore medical certificate
• Strong safety awareness and solid understanding of lifting operations and signals
• Good English communication skills and ability to work in a mixed-nationality crew
• Fit for offshore rotation, including work in rough weather and shift/rotation patterns
