WSP Canada seeks a Traffic Engineer-in-Training to contribute to safer, more sustainable transportation networks across Atlantic Canada. You will work with experienced professionals to build technical expertise while supporting municipal, provincial, and private sector clients.

You will perform data collection, analyses, prepare forecasts, and develop reports to support infrastructure decisions, with field investigations and collaborative problem solving within a safety-conscious team.

Formación

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline with an interest in transportation or traffic engineering.
• Up to four years of experience in transportation engineering, municipal infrastructure, land development, or a related field.
• Understanding of transportation planning, traffic engineering principles, road safety, and multimodal transportation systems.
• Experience with tools such as Synchro, SimTraffic, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, AutoTURN, GIS is considered an asset.
• Demonstrated ability to collect, analyze, and present technical transportation data with accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsabilidades

• Support transportation and traffic engineering studies through data collection, analysis, technical documentation, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Analyze traffic operations using industry-standard software such as Synchro and SimTraffic to help evaluate transportation performance.
• Prepare traffic forecasts, trip generation analyses, and transportation impact assessments that influence future infrastructure decisions.
• Develop technical reports, memoranda, graphics, and presentation materials that clearly communicate project findings and recommendations.
• Contribute to site plan reviews, access evaluations, parking assessments, and vehicle circulation analyses that support smart development.
• Participate in field investigations, traffic counts, parking studies, and site inspections to collect meaningful transportation data.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and technical specialists to deliver high-quality transportation solutions.
• Uphold WSP's commitment to health, safety, quality, and continuous improvement while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
