WSP is seeking a Civil Engineering-in-Training (French) to contribute to planning, design, and delivery of municipal infrastructure projects. You will work on roadways, water distribution, sanitary systems, and stormwater, balancing technical design with field reviews alongside industry professionals.

The role emphasizes collaboration with project teams, clients, and contractors, while preparing drawings, reports, and permit applications and supporting QA testing and field inspections.

Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Experience with or strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of municipal engineering design principles including grading, stormwater management, water distribution, and sanitary systems.
• Familiarity with hydraulic and stormwater modeling software is considered an asset.
• Strong technical writing skills with the ability to prepare clear and concise engineering reports and field review documentation.
• Effective communication and coordination skills for working with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and contractors.
• English language is an asset.
• French language proficiency (written and spoken).

Responsabilidades

• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, plans, profiles, and construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D for municipal infrastructure projects.
• Perform hydraulic, stormwater management, grading, and earthwork calculations to support project design and delivery.
• Assist in the preparation of engineering reports, technical memoranda, and permit applications for municipal and regulatory approvals.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, contractors, and senior engineers to advance projects from concept through construction.
• Conduct field reviews and site inspections to verify construction compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.
• Document site progress, observations, and deficiencies through detailed field reports and photographic records.
• Witness and record quality assurance testing activities, including soil compaction, concrete testing, and other construction verification processes.
• Support the development of sustainable and resilient infrastructure that positively impacts local communities and future generations.
