WSP in Colombia is seeking a Civil Engineering-in-Training to contribute to planning, design, and delivery of municipal infrastructure projects. You will work on roadways, water distribution systems, sanitary sewers, and stormwater facilities, combining technical design with field review under the guidance of senior engineers.

The role emphasizes developing drawings, performing hydrologic/stormwater calculations, and preparing reports. Fluency in English is required; French is a plus.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Office.
• Knowledge of municipal design principles including grading, stormwater management, water distribution, and sanitary systems.
• English language proficiency (written and spoken) is required; French is an asset.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, plans, profiles, and construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D for municipal infrastructure projects.
• Perform hydraulic, stormwater management, grading, and earthwork calculations to support project design and delivery.
• Assist in the preparation of engineering reports, technical memoranda, and permit applications for municipal and regulatory approvals.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, contractors, and senior engineers to advance projects from concept through construction.
• Conduct field reviews and site inspections to verify construction compliance with drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Document site progress, observations, and deficiencies through field reports and photographic records.
• Witness and record quality assurance testing activities, including soil compaction and concrete testing.

The Skills That Set You Apart

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
• Experience with or strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of municipal engineering design principles including grading, stormwater management, water distribution, and sanitary systems.
• Familiarity with hydraulic and stormwater modeling software is considered an asset.
• Strong technical writing skills with the ability to prepare clear and concise engineering reports and field review documentation.
• Effective communication and coordination skills for working with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and contractors.
• French language is an asset.
• English language proficiency (written and spoken)
