WSP is seeking a Traffic Engineer-in-Training to help design safer, more efficient transportation networks in Atlantic Canada. You will support studies, analyze operations with Synchro/SimTraffic, and prepare reports that inform future infrastructure decisions.

You'll work with engineers and technicians, gain hands-on field experience, and contribute to projects across municipal, provincial, and private clients while upholding health and safety standards.

Formación

• Degree in Civil Engineering with an interest in transportation.
• Eligible to register as Engineer-in-Training with the provincial association.
• Up to four years of transportation engineering experience.
• Understanding of transportation planning and multimodal systems.
• Experience with Synchro, SimTraffic, AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar tools.
• Strong data analysis and technical communication abilities.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness for field work.

Responsabilidades

• Support transportation and traffic engineering studies through data collection and analysis.
• Analyze traffic operations using Synchro and SimTraffic.
• Prepare traffic forecasts and impact assessments for infrastructure decisions.
• Develop technical reports, graphics, and presentation materials.
• Contribute to site plan reviews and parking/vehicle circulation analyses.
• Participate in field investigations and data collection activities.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and technical specialists.
• Uphold health, safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the team.
