• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering (or similar).
• Knowledge of electrical distribution system design, engineering standards, and industry practices.
• Working knowledge of NESC and other applicable electrical codes and standards.
• Experience developing and/or reviewing engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and the ability to learn client-specific software and systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with both local Bogotá team members and U.S.-based engineering teams and clients.

Responsabilidades

• Perform engineering and design for electrical distribution systems and related infrastructure.
• Develop and review engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and other technical deliverables.
• Apply applicable client, industry, and regulatory standards to distribution system designs.
• Review designs and deliverables for quality, consistency, accuracy, and compliance.
• Coordinate with engineers, designers, project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to support successful project delivery.
• Provide technical support to project teams as needed.
• Review existing designs and identify opportunities to improve quality, consistency, and efficiency.
• Learn and effectively utilize client-provided software, systems, and design standards.
• Participate in project meetings, design reviews, and coordination meetings with U.S.-based teams and clients.
• Support multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced engineering environment.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, technical accuracy, and cost-effective design.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering (or similar), or equivalent education and/or experience.
• Knowledge of electrical distribution system design, engineering standards, and industry practices.
• Working knowledge of NESC and other applicable electrical codes and standards.
• Experience developing and/or reviewing engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and the ability to learn client-specific software and systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with both local Bogotá team members and U.S.-based engineering teams and clients.

Additional Requirements

• English proficiency at B2 level or higher is required to effectively support U.S.-based projects, teams, and clients.
• Must be comfortable working in a U.S.-based project environment, including participating in meetings and communicating directly with U.S. colleagues and clients.
• Ability to prepare and review technical documentation and engineering deliverables in English.
• Experience working with U.S. codes, standards, design practices, or utility/client requirements is preferred, not required.
• Ability to work collaboratively across time zones and with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Must be self-motivated and capable of working independently while also contributing effectively to a collaborative team environment.
