Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience as a Technical or Business Systems Analyst.
• Exceptional communication skills across verbal, written, and presentation formats.
• Strong collaboration in Agile, cross-functional teams.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel; hands-on data manipulation and reporting.
• Practical experience with SQL for data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to Global Wholesale Operations users, resolving daily business and technology challenges with urgency.
• Collaborate with end users to understand needs, perform gap analyses, and inform solutions and process automation.
• Lead as business liaison with technology teams and vendors to ensure architectures support evolving needs and align with IT roadmap.
• Lead implementation of business line solutions for complex projects with seamless integration across tech domains.
• Participate in all SDLC phases, acting as liaison between development teams and business stakeholders; provide timely updates to Project Managers and mitigate risks.

Accountabilities

• Provide direct support to Global Wholesale Operations users, independently resolving daily business and technology challenges with a sense of urgency.
• Collaborate with end users to understand business needs, perform gap analyses, and assess requirements to inform effective solutions and process automation.
• Serve as the business lead in collaboration with technology teams and vendors, ensuring that application, integration, infrastructure, and security architectures support evolving business needs and align with the Scotia IT&S Technology roadmap.
• Lead the successful implementation of business line solutions for complex projects, ensuring seamless integration across multiple technology domains.
• Participate in all phases of the IT System Development Lifecycle (SDLC), acting as a liaison between development teams and business stakeholders. Provide timely updates to Project Managers, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.

Basic Qualifications

Education / Experience / Other Information

• 1-3 Years of experience as a Technical or Business Systems Analyst, including eliciting user needs, conducting requirements analysis, translating business requirements into actionable tasks, estimating story points, and contributing to the full solution lifecycle—from planning and design to implementation, testing, and ongoing support.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely through verbal, written, and presentation formats.
• Strong collaboration skills, with a proven track record of working effectively in agile, cross-functional teams using modern methodologies and tools.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (or equivalent tools), with hands-on experience in data manipulation, analysis, and reporting.
• Practical experience with SQL, including querying, analyzing, and interpreting data to support business decision-making.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in the financial services sector, particularly within capital markets or middle-office operations.
• Familiarity with reconciliation technologies and tools, supporting accurate and efficient financial operations.
• Experience in supporting production environments for technology information systems, ensuring stability and responsiveness.
• Hands-on experience with reconciliation platforms such as TLM, DUCO, or RegTek is considered a strong asset.
• Knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements and oversight is an advantage.
