OpenMined invites a Senior/Staff Software Engineer to lead the ScreamingFace squad, building the leaderboard for fusion models and the open toolkit for benchmarking fusion models. You will mentor engineers, guide architecture, and drive scalable production software in a rapidly evolving nonprofit setting.

You will work with distributed systems, Python, and AI tooling, shaping standards and interfaces while aligning with the organization's platform strategy.

Formación

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience building production software with AI coding agents.
• Strong Python (3.12+) proficiency with FastAPI and async orchestration.
• Distributed systems and API design experience across multiple teams.

Responsabilidades

• Own the ScreamingFace squad architecture end to end across the stack.
• Drive production readiness with deployment monitoring and runbooks.
• Mentor the team and establish engineering best practices.
• Collaborate on stack strategy and define shared primitives.
• Develop roadmaps with product lead and balance feasibility and scale.
• Deliver quarterly goals and manage resources accordingly.
• Balance team output, morale, and learning opportunities.
• Create technical documentation to support velocity.
