OpenMined seeks a Senior Technical Program Manager to own how we plan, track, and ship our most ambitious work. You’ll collaborate with leaders across product, engineering, research, and partnerships to ensure timelines and milestones are met.

You will drive AI-native project management practices, leverage AI agents for status reporting, and maintain roadmaps for grants and funders. This is a fully remote contractor role with overlap with US ET hours.

Competenze

• 7+ years of technical project or program management delivering complex software.
• Built or rebuilt a PM practice with cadence, tooling, and standards.
• Shaped project management for AI-native teams with AI tooling integration.
• Uses AI in PM daily with agents or automations.
• Experience shipping under continuous change and uncertainty.
• CS or technical degree or 3+ years as software engineer.
• Familiar with Linear, Jira, GitHub workflows.
• Strong written and spoken communication with executives and funders.

Mansioni

• Own end-to-end delivery for OpenMined's flagship initiatives (ScreamingFace and AI Oversight).
• Design and improve our AI-native project management practices (planning, tracking, status reporting, retros).
• Integrate AI agents and automations for status updates, summaries, risks, and plan maintenance.
• Coach product and engineering leads; raise PM skills across the team.
• Turn quarterly OKRs into dated, sequenced plans and keep them current.
• Maintain a living product roadmap for grants and funder reports.
• Be the single accountable owner for cross-team dependencies and blockers.
• Own PM tooling (Linear, Asana): set conventions and align status with reality.
• Link code to plans: connect GitHub to Linear issues; track PRs and releases.
• Track milestones, cycle time, OKR results; flag slips early with trade-offs.
• Coordinate external deliverables and partner pilots or launches.
