Sonatype Inc. seeks an agentic-first Staff Software Engineer to lead enterprise-grade capabilities for Nexus Repository Manager.

You will set technical direction, orchestrate fleets of agents, and mentor engineers to secure software supply chains at scale. You will partner with Principal engineers on tough decisions while shaping engineering practices, architecture, and reliability across critical product areas.

Formación

• 7+ years of professional software development
• Experience leading multi-quarter technical initiatives spanning multiple teams or services
• Strong experience with Java, cloud platforms, and large-scale distributed systems
• DevSecOps and software supply chain security knowledge

Responsabilidades

• Architect and lead major agentic-first subsystems, including service architecture and data models
• Own a product area and drive multi-team execution from design to rollout
• Define evaluation methods, guardrails, and review rituals to enable ship-ready code
• Define internal playbooks, tooling, and coaching to raise engineering craft
• Collaborate with Product, Security, UX and Support to translate customer needs into technical plans
• Ensure architecture, security and reliability requirements for the area are met
