Safeguard Global in Bogotá, Colombia is seeking a Principal Scrum Master to lead Agile delivery across 2–4 software teams, including QA, to optimize velocity and predictability. As a senior individual contributor, you will mentor Scrum Masters and collaborate with Product Management and Engineering leadership to elevate practices, remove impediments, and drive strategic improvements.

This role requires advanced certifications and distributed teams experience, with a focus on shaping delivery

Qualifications

• 6–9 years in Agile software delivery.
• At least 4 years as Scrum Master or Agile Coach.
• Experience supporting multiple concurrent teams.
• Strong Scrum, Kanban, and hybrid methodologies.
• Hands-on with Jira/Confluence.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, CI/CD, and quality practices.
• Excellent facilitation and leadership skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead Agile delivery across multiple teams and adapt Scrum and Kanban practices to team needs.
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, cross-team planning, and coordination forums to manage dependencies and remove impediments.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Principal Scrum Master to lead and optimize Agile delivery across multiple software development teams.

In this role, you will support 2–4 squads across software development and QA, drive cross-team collaboration, resolve complex delivery dependencies, and establish consistent Agile practices. You will partner closely with Product Management and Engineering leadership to improve delivery predictability, strengthen team performance, and promote continuous improvement.

This is a senior individual contributor role offering the opportunity to influence Agile delivery standards across multiple teams while mentoring Scrum Masters and driving strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Agile delivery across multiple software development and QA teams, adapting Scrum and Kanban practices to team needs.
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, cross-team planning, and coordination forums to manage dependencies and remove impediments.
• Partner with Product Managers and Engineering leaders on roadmap planning, backlog prioritization, user stories, and delivery objectives.
• Establish and scale Agile best practices, delivery standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor delivery metrics, including velocity, cycle time, quality, and predictability, to identify and address performance gaps.
• Identify cross-team risks and proactively drive resolution with business and technical stakeholders.
• Mentor and coach Scrum Masters, Product Managers, and Engineering Leads to strengthen Agile maturity across the organization.
• Lead the adoption of new Agile frameworks, tools, and delivery practices across multiple teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 6–9 years of experience in Agile software delivery, including at least 4 years as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach.
• Proven experience supporting multiple concurrent teams or products.
• Strong expertise in Scrum, Kanban, and hybrid Agile methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, and other Agile delivery tools.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, CI/CD, and quality engineering practices.
• Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional dependencies, influence stakeholders, and improve delivery outcomes.
• Excellent facilitation, communication, leadership, and coaching skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced Agile certifications such as CSP, PSM II/III, or SAFe.
• Experience working with globally distributed teams across multiple time zones.
• Background in life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or clinical research.
• Familiarity with cloud-based applications and modern software engineering toolchains.
