Job summary

AgileEngine in Bogotá is seeking a seasoned Scrum Master to run core ceremonies and build high-functioning delivery teams across one to three squads. You will implement and continuously improve the Scrum framework in partnership with tech leads and TPMs, monitor capacity, and ensure transparent progress.

You bring 4+ years of hands-on Scrum Master experience, strong facilitation and servant leadership, and proficiency with Jira and Confluence.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on Scrum Master experience on software engineering or product delivery teams.
• Ability to execute core Scrum Master accountabilities independently across one or two concurrent teams.
• Demonstrated servant leadership and coaching on Agile practices without imposing rigid process.
• Strong facilitation across team discussions, conflict resolution, and decision-making.
• Articulate the business value of the work delivered by the team.
• Proactively identify project risks and execute remediation plans.
• Experience driving continuous process improvement with technical and product leadership.
• Comfortable contributing to Scrum of Scrums and status communication.
• Proficiency with Jira (boards, velocity, reporting) and Jira Plans/Boards/Dashboards.
• Proficiency with Confluence for documentation and retrospectives.
• Proficiency with Slack and Google Workspace for collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Execute core Scrum Master ceremonies across one to three delivery teams with minimal supervision.
• Design and improve the Scrum framework with TDMs/Tech Leads and TPMs.
• Monitor capacity and manage sprint injections on team commitments.
• Facilitate delivery team discussions, decisions, and conflict resolution.
• Coach teams on Agile practices to keep processes lightweight and continuously improving.
• Surface project risks and define actionable mitigation plans.
• Reduce friction between Engineering, Product, and Business through transparent collaboration.
• Maintain clear communication to enhance progress visibility.
• Coordinate with other Scrum Masters on dependent teams and status calls.
• Maintain an impediment log with resolution tracking and escalation paths.
• Maintain stakeholder alignment artifacts (roadmaps, dependencies).

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Scrum Master to run core Scrum ceremonies and build high-functioning, continuously improving delivery teams across one to three squads.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Execute all core Scrum Master ceremonies and accountabilities — daily standups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and retrospectives — across one to three delivery teams with minimal supervision.
• Design, implement, and continuously improve the Scrum framework in partnership with TDMs/Tech Leads and TPMs.
• Monitor delivery team capacity and manage the impact of sprint injections on team commitments.
• Facilitate delivery team discussions, decision-making, and conflict resolution.
• Champion and coach teams on Agile best practices at a sustainable pace, challenging the status quo to keep processes lightweight and continuously improving.
• Proactively surface project risks and define actionable mitigation plans before they escalated.
• Reduce friction between cross-functional stakeholders (Engineering, Product, Business) through structured, transparent collaboration.
• Facilitate clear, effective communication within the delivery team to enhance progress visibility and transparency.
• Coordinate with Scrum Masters on dependent teams and contribute to Scrum of Scrums and program-wide leadership calls and status updates.
• Maintain an impediment log with resolution tracking and escalation paths.
• Maintain stakeholder alignment artifacts (roadmap updates, dependency maps, blockers dashboards) in partnership with TDM/Tech Lead and Product.

MUST HAVES

• Demonstrated servant leadership, coaching teams on Agile best practices without imposing rigid process.
• Strong facilitation skills across team discussions, conflict resolution, and decision-making.
• Ability to understand and clearly articulate the business value of the work being delivered by the team(s).
• Track record of proactively identifying project risks and executing structured remediation plans.
• Experience challenging the status quo and driving continuous process improvement in partnership with technical and product leadership.
• Comfortable contributing to Scrum of Scrums and communicating work item status.
• Proficiency with Jira (sprint boards, backlog management, velocity tracking, reporting) and Agile lifecycle management tools (Jira Plans, Jira Boards, Jira Dashboards).
• Proficiency with Confluence (documentation, team spaces, retrospective artifacts).
• Proficiency with collaboration tools: Slack and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Zoom).
• Upper-intermediate English level.

NICE TO HAVES

• Experience working in a matrixed, fast-paced tech organization (large tech company experience strongly preferred).
• CSM, PSM I, or equivalent Agile certification (preferred but not required where experience is demonstrated).
