Job summary

Hire Hangar Global is seeking a Senior Technical Accountant for a remote role spanning US GAAP. You will lead ASC 842 lease accounting, support 409A valuations, and manage stock-based compensation under ASC 718.

The position interfaces with external auditors and senior US finance leadership. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of accounting experience in US GAAP, Big Four or equivalent, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience, with hands-on US GAAP exposure.
• Direct ASC 842 lease accounting experience (implementation or ongoing).
• Exposure to 409A valuations and ASC 718 stock-based compensation.

Responsibilities

• Own lease accounting under ASC 842 including classifications and schedules.
• Coordinate 409A valuation processes and review reports.
• Prepare and record stock-based compensation entries under ASC 718.
• Manage month-end and year-end close, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare technical accounting memos and audit-ready documentation for complex transactions.
• Serve as primary contact for external auditors on lease and equity accounting.
• Assist with US GAAP financial statement preparation and disclosures.
