Job summary

Planet Payment is seeking a Snr Solution Consultant to partner with Commercial teams and customers, delivering technical and solution design expertise across acquirer multicurrency solutions DCC and MCP, and across card-present and e-commerce gateways in the Americas.

This customer-facing role bridges sales, product, engineering and delivery, helping prospects understand how Planet’s products can solve payment challenges and support business objectives.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Solutions Consultant, Sales Engineer, or Technical Pre-Sales role within payments.
• Strong knowledge of payment ecosystems including multi-currency solutions (DCC and MCP).
• Experience supporting enterprise or mid-market commercial sales teams.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value.

Responsibilities

• Support Commercial teams throughout the sales lifecycle, from discovery through close, for acquirer multi-currency, Integrated payment and e-commerce opportunities.
• Act as the technical and solutions expert in the region for Planet’s products, integrations and platform capabilities.
• Lead customer discovery sessions to understand business requirements, technical environments, and integration needs.
• Align the Planet end-to-end payment solutions with the customer use cases, including DCC, MCP, POS integrations, online checkout flows, and omnichannel experiences.
• Deliver compelling solution presentations and product demonstrations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Respond to RFPs/RFIs and contribute to proposals with solution architectures and technical content.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to provide feedback from the field and influence roadmap priorities.
• Support proof-of-concepts and pilot implementations where required.
• Ensure smooth handover from sales to implementation, documenting solution designs and customer requirements.
• Stay current on Planet’s product portfolio, payment technologies, and industry trends.
