Tesoro AI is seeking a hands-on Senior Software Engineer to join a U.S. healthcare tech company, focused on AI-enabled applications and real-time workflows.

You will build and maintain production-grade backend services, APIs, and integrations and own software quality in production. Strong candidates have deep Python experience, ownership of deployed software, and familiarity with APIs, cloud systems, and real-time constraints.

Formación

• Experience building and maintaining production-grade applications or backend systems.
• Proficient in Python with experience in services, APIs, integrations, and data-processing workflows.
• Demonstrated ownership of software deployed to production.
• Experience working within existing codebases, not just prototypes.
• Strong grasp of automated testing, debugging, monitoring, regression prevention, and reliability.
• Ability to reason about architecture, service boundaries, performance bottlenecks, and scalability.
• Experience with APIs, cloud applications, or distributed systems.
• Ability to investigate problems before proposing solutions and verify outcomes after release.
• Professional English communication skills; able to explain decisions, incidents, and tradeoffs.
• Interest in remaining hands-on as an individual contributor.

Responsabilidades

• Build, improve, and maintain production applications, backend services, APIs, and integrations.
• Contribute to AI-enabled functionality used in real workflows.
• Improve performance, reliability, scalability, and response times.
• Investigate and resolve production issues across boundaries.
• Develop automated tests and strengthen regression prevention, monitoring, and release verification.
• Identify failure modes and implement safeguards and human-review for AI features.
• Collaborate with product, operations, and technical stakeholders to translate problems into solutions.
• Contribute to real-time and low-latency workflows, including voice-related applications.
• Own technical work from problem clarification to deployment and production validation.
• Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly while ensuring code quality.
