Solid Power is seeking an experienced product engineer with a background in materials chemistry and battery systems to join our team working to revolutionize the battery industry through the development of next-generation, solid-state electrolyte materials.

Formación

• PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing or battery industry.
• Background in inorganic, solid state, or synthetic chemical discipline.
• Experience with materials characterization techniques (XRD, TGA, DSC, FT-IR, Raman, SEM).
• Exposure to electrochemical testing methods (battery cycling, CV, EIS, GITT).
• Experience with air- and water-sensitive materials.
• Structured problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsabilidades

• Identify key factors for success in electrolyte synthesis and downstream processing to improve product quality and performance.
• Conduct characterization (physical, chemical, electrochemical) on electrolytes and electrode materials.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to improve electrolyte production and performance.
• Conform to safety protocols.
• Mentor junior team members, operators, and interns.
• Maintain thorough records of experiments.
• Document and improve SOPs as processes evolve.
