Solid Power is seeking a Senior Safety Specialist to support growth of next‑gen battery manufacturing operations. You will enforce OSHA/EHS regulations, manage chemical inventories and SDS databases, and lead incident investigations with corrective actions.

Role involves developing EHS policies, collaborating with operations and engineering, and monitoring safety metrics. Requires 7+ years in high-hazard manufacturing and PSM exposure; travel to facilities may be required.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
• 7+ years of EHS experience in high-hazard industrial manufacturing with PSM
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification and experience in chemical, industrial gas, or battery manufacturing environments
• Experience conducting incident investigations, safety audits, risk assessments, and hazard assessments
• Experience managing chemical inventory, SDS administration, hazardous materials, and waste programs
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industrial safety standards; proficient with MS Office and EHS systems
• Familiarity with OSHA Process Safety Management 29 CFR 1910.119 and related safety standards

Responsabilidades

• Support and enforce compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA and other environmental, health, and safety regulations
• Maintain chemical inventory systems, SDS databases, and chemical labeling per GHS
• Conduct safety audits, JSAs, and hazard assessments; perform fire safety and arc flash reviews
• Lead or support incident investigations and root cause analyses with corrective actions
• Develop and improve EHS policies, procedures, and emergency response plans
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, labs, and engineering to embed safe work practices
• Monitor leading/lagging indicators, incident trends, and audit findings for improvements
• Support hazardous material inventory, waste programs, and safety KPI reviews
• Coordinate EHS training and regulatory training requirements and competency initiatives
