The Nuclear Company is seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer to lead design, analysis, and maintenance of electrical systems for nuclear plants and advanced reactor projects. You will work with a multi-discipline team, applying IEEE and related standards, and help drive safety, quality, and performance through advanced engineering methods and AI/ML-assisted analysis.

Ideal candidates have a BS in Electrical Engineering with ABET accreditation, an EIT license, 8+ years of experience in power

Formación

• BS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• EIT license.
• 8+ years of engineering experience.
• Power industry experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with ETAP or SKM and other engineering tools.
• Familiarity with NQA-1, IEEE and NEI standards.
• Ability to obtain security clearance for a nuclear site.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsabilidades

• Design and analysis of electrical components and systems.
• Prepare calculations (short circuit, arc flash, relay settings) and specifications.
• Prepare or review engineering modification packages.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Diagnose electrical equipment failures and support root-cause analyses.
• Review vendor documentation and technical specifications.
• Participate in design reviews and cross-disciplinary meetings.
• Interface with civil/structural, mechanical, and I&C engineers.
• Support QA/QC programs and prepare technical reports.
