Coupa Software, Inc. is seeking a Senior Enterprise Architect to own the technical design and governance of MCP servers and custom connectors, guiding integration engineering and setting architecture standards. You will align with security, governance, and enterprise architecture while delivering scalable solutions.

You will lead the integration team's roadmap, review designs, and ensure tool-calling patterns meet reliability and security requirements, working with global stakeholders.

Formación

• 8+ years in software/integration engineering, including 3+ years in an architect or technical lead role.
• Deep hands-on experience building API integrations/connectors at enterprise scale (REST, GraphQL, gRPC, webhooks, event streaming).
• Working knowledge of MCP or comparable agent-tool-calling frameworks; understands transport, schema, and session-lifecycle tradeoffs.
• Strong command of Python, TypeScript/Node.js; proficiency reading the other.
• Experience with LLM/agent frameworks and tool-calling design patterns.
• Solid grounding in identity/auth (OAuth2, OIDC, SAML), API security, and secrets management.
• Cloud platform experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Experience with enterprise systems integration (ERP, finance, procurement) — Coupa, NetSuite, SAP, or similar is a strong plus.
• Excellent written communication in English; lead architecture reviews with global stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Define reference architecture for MCP servers and custom connectors: transport, auth, schema/versioning, error semantics, observability.
• Design and review connector specifications for internal and external systems.
• Establish security and governance patterns: OAuth2/OIDC, credential/secrets management, least-privilege scoping.
• Own the technical roadmap and backlog prioritization for the integration team.
• Provide architecture review and code-level guidance to AI Integration Engineers.
• Evaluate and select platform components for scalability and maintainability.
• Define and enforce testing/eval standards for connector reliability.
• Act as technical escalation point for production incidents involving connectors/MCP.
• Partner with Security, Data Governance, and Enterprise Architecture on compliance.
