Job summary

CI&T seeks a Senior Data Developer to own the relational and lakehouse data behind a higher-education platform, ensuring correct, fast, and well-governed data for analytics and applications.

You will build Databricks pipelines (PySpark/Spark SQL), design Kimball models, and govern data with Unity Catalog. Collaboration with North American teams and mentoring junior staff are key parts of the role.

Qualifications

• Advanced English required (C1 or higher).
• Strong SQL skills including window functions, stored procedures, indexing, and execution plans.
• Experience with relational databases (SQL Server/Azure SQL preferred).
• Hands-on Databricks experience (PySpark, Spark SQL) and dbt models.
• Dimensional modeling (Kimball) and data warehouse design.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and tune schemas, stored procedures, views, and indexes.
• Develop and maintain Databricks pipelines and dbt models.
• Support both transactional databases and lakehouse analytics models.
• Implement data governance, quality checks, and data lineage tracking.
• Version control changes with Git and CI/CD deployment.
• Document data models, runbooks, and assist incident resolution.
• Collaborate with Data Architect and application developers; mentor mid-level developers.
• Coordinate nearshore delivery with North American teams across regions.
