CI&T in Colombia seeks a Senior Data Developer to own the core data layer for a higher-education platform, ensuring correct, fast and well-governed data for analytics, CRM and partner apps.

You will design schemas, build Databricks pipelines (PySpark/Spark SQL) and dbt models, and manage dual-layer delivery while collaborating with North American stakeholders and nearshore teams. Strong English and SQL skills are essential.

Formación

• Fluent English (C1+) required.
• Expert SQL with performance tuning (T-SQL/ANSI).
• Experience with relational databases (SQL Server/Azure SQL or PostgreSQL).
• Hands-on Databricks, PySpark, Delta Lake and dbt experience.
• Dimensional modeling and Kimball data warehouse design.
• Git and CI/CD for database changes.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build and tune schemas, stored procedures, views and indexes.
• Lead query-plan analysis and performance work.
• Maintain Databricks pipelines and dbt models.
• Support both transactional and analytics data layers.
• Ensure data governance, quality and security.
• Collaborate with data architects and application developers.
• Mentor mid-level developers and support incident resolution.
