CI&T seeks a Senior Data Developer to own the relational and lakehouse data behind a higher-education platform. You will design schemas, build Databricks pipelines, and enforce data quality for analytics and CRM integrations.

You will mentor mid-level developers, collaborate with North American stakeholders and teams in Brazil and Colombia, and ensure governance and production-ready data contracts across the data layer.

Formación

• Advanced/fluent English (C1 or above).
• Expert SQL (T-SQL and/or ANSI), including stored procedures, window functions, CTEs, indexing and execution plans.
• Solid experience with relational databases (SQL Server / Azure SQL preferred, or PostgreSQL or similar).
• Hands-on production experience with Databricks, PySpark, Delta Lake and dbt.
• Solid experience with dimensional modeling (Kimball) and data warehouse design.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD for database changes and Jira.

Responsabilidades

• Database Development: Design, build and tune schemas, stored procedures, views, functions and indexes.
• Lakehouse Engineering: Build and maintain Databricks pipelines (PySpark / Spark SQL) and dbt models.
• Dual-Layer Delivery: Support transactional SQL DBs and lakehouse models for analytics.
• Data Governance & Quality: Manage data access and lineage; implement quality checks and masking.
• Engineering Practices: Version changes in Git, deploy through CI/CD, review SQL.
• Knowledge Transfer & Operations: Take over schemas, document models, support incidents.
• Collaboration: Work with Data Architect and application developers on data contracts.
• Mentorship: Guide mid-level developers and explain trade-offs to client architects.
• Nearshore Delivery: Collaborate with NA stakeholders and teams in Brazil/Colombia.
