Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. seeks a Senior Data Platform Engineer to define, build and operate the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP), a centralized, scalable data foundation enabling enterprise analytics.

You will help shape the data platform strategy and design a modern AWS-native lakehouse with governance across domains. You will implement reusable patterns, migrate from legacy systems, and optimize costs while ensuring reliability and security.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms, or related fields.
• Experience designing and implementing lakehouse or modern data platform architectures.
• Expertise in data ingestion, ETL/ELT pipelines, and orchestration frameworks.
• Understanding of data governance, security, and access control models.
• Experience with enterprise data cataloging and metadata management.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the enterprise data platform strategy and roadmap.
• Design and evolve a modern AWS native lakehouse architecture.
• Establish scalable, reusable data platform patterns and standards.
• Support migration from legacy data platforms and govern data products.
• Develop data ingestion pipelines and transformation frameworks.
• Ensure platform reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.
