Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Cloud/DevOps Engineer to operate and enhance the cloud infrastructure behind an enterprise data platform in a regulated healthcare environment. The role requires 5+ years in Cloud/DevOps, strong AWS EKS and Kubernetes expertise, and hands-on Argo Workflows administration, with a focus on reliability and automation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience operating AWS infrastructure in production.
• Advanced experience with Kubernetes and Amazon EKS, including workload operations and reliability.
• Hands-on experience administering and troubleshooting Argo Workflows.
• Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform and source-controlled practices.
• Experience building, hardening, and supporting CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience monitoring, logging, alerting and incident-routing tools (e.g., Splunk, PagerDuty, Opsgenie).
• Ability to lead incident resolution and perform root-cause analysis.
• Proficiency in Python, Shell, Bash, or similar languages.
• Ability to make technical decisions, estimate work, and drive improvements.
• Experience mentoring engineers and collaborating with stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.
• Availability to work LatAm ET window and participate in on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical ownership for the Cloud/DevOps service tower during LatAm coverage.
• Operate, maintain, and improve AWS infrastructure supporting the Data Platform (EKS, S3, EventBridge, SQS, API Gateway, Lambda).
• Administer Kubernetes workloads and Argo Workflows (deployment, monitoring, recovery).
• Define and improve Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and release practices (Terraform, Git).
• Improve observability across infra and data workloads, linking alerts to runbooks.
• Improve alert routing and escalation across Splunk, Opsgenie, PagerDuty, Teams.
• Lead major incidents, root-cause analysis, and post-incident reviews.
• Design reliability improvements including auto-remediation and dependency-aware alerts.
• Track service metrics: availability, SLA, alert volumes, deployment outcomes.
• Apply change-management, access-control, and auditability in regulated environments.
• Create runbooks, operating procedures, and knowledge-transfer materials.
• Mentor mid-level engineers and promote consistent execution.
• Participate in on-call rotation for critical incidents.
