Job summary

Airalo is seeking a versatile Solution Architect to lead localization of our MVNO core, bridging regulatory needs with engineering delivery. You’ll define functional requirements for Core Network components and guide interconnectivity with local regulators and MNOs.

You will mentor teams on user stories, specs, and traceability from regulation to implementation, coordinate across countries, and ensure scalable, compliant design for our globally connected platform.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Technical Business Analysis or Solution Architecture.
• Translate regulatory docs into actionable engineering tasks.
• Discuss SIP, SMS routing, and MNP databases with engineers.
• Write clear user stories and functional specs; manage Jira tickets.
• Experience with international roaming and global telecom markets.
• Create clear technical docs and process flowcharts.
• Experience coaching team members and liaising between legal, product, and engineering.
• Strong written and verbal English skills.

Responsibilities

• Bridge regulatory findings to Core Network teams with clear requirements.
• Lead workshops with local MNOs, regulators, and internal teams.
• Assess regulatory requirements against platform capabilities and plan enhancements.
• Create technical workflows for regulatory services (e.g., MNP, LI).
• Define data exchange needs for Number Portability and voice/SMS routing.
• Set data reporting requirements for local authorities and validation checks.
• Define acceptance criteria, test scenarios, and sign-off for regulatory hurdles.
• Manage country-wide regulatory checklists and sprint dependencies.
• Coordinate with central databases and external partners for QoS and integration readiness.
• Mentor Solution Analysts on user stories, specs, and traceability.
• Provide leadership to balance compliance, scalability, and maintainability.
