Higher Options is seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial records for a growing accounting firm. This full-time contractor role is open to candidates globally, with preference for LATAM or the Philippines and overlapping U.S. work hours.

You will work remotely using QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Zoho Books, maintain ledgers, prepare financial statements, reconcile accounts, and support month-end closes and tax season in line with U.S. GAAP.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of professional bookkeeping experience; 5 years preferred.
• Experience with U.S. accounting practices is required; real estate depreciation is a plus.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online, Xero or Zoho Books; strong Excel skills required.

Responsabilités

• Record and maintain financial transactions across client accounts with accuracy.
• Prepare balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements and other reports.
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements; investigate discrepancies.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable; issue invoices and track payments.
• Maintain the general ledger and depreciation schedules for fixed assets.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close processes.
• Coordinate with CPAs; ensure regulatory reporting and tax season readiness.
• Collaborate with management in a remote environment using cloud tools.
