AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to build and maintain backend services and REST APIs for a data analytics platform, using Python, FastAPI, and SQLAlchemy with strict typing. You will integrate third‑party sources like YouTube Creator APIs and Google Trends within the application layer, and collaborate with a data engineer on AWS-based data pipelines.

Formación

• 5–7 years of backend software development experience in production systems.
• Proficient Python with FastAPI, SQLAlchemy and strict typing throughout.
• Experience designing REST APIs with versioning and contracts.
• Strong API integration experience with third-party data sources.
• Relational DB (PostgreSQL) and migrations expertise.
• Background task processing with Celery/Redis or similar.
• Containerized deployment with Docker and Kubernetes/EKS.
• Familiarity with object-storage data lakes and serverless query engines.
• Experience calling LLM APIs (AWS Bedrock, Claude/Gemini) is a plus.
• Excellent communication and ability to defend technical decisions.

Responsabilidades

• Build and maintain scalable backend services and REST APIs.
• Integrate YouTube/Google APIs and other data sources at the app layer.
• Develop containerized Python services and background workers on EKS.
• Implement AWS-based serverless components (Lambda, Step Functions).
• Apply Auth0 and ReBAC-style access controls and internal RBAC libs.
• Collaborate with data engineer on S3/Glue/Athena and Bedrock scoring.
• Leverage Claude Code and other AI tools with critical evaluation.
