Job summary

Sezzle LA is seeking a Risk & Disputes Intern to analyze and respond to disputes across card and ACH channels. You will work closely with fraud/risk and disputes teams, using data analysis and AI tooling to improve processes in a fast-paced fintech setting.

This paid internship runs full-time, Monday through Friday, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm Central Time, offering hands-on exposure to loss prevention and dispute resolution within Sezzle's growing operations.

Qualifications

• Experience analyzing data and making decisions in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong business judgment and communication skills.
• Ability to self-start and work with minimal supervision after training.

Responsibilities

• Investigate disputed card, debit card, and ACH transactions and resolve disputes within timeframes.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with fraud and disputes teams on case actions.
• Analyze individual transactions using policies and review methodologies to identify patterns.
• Review systems and tools; analyze account patterns through data analysis.
• Collaborate with analysts, operations, data scientists and engineering to improve loss prevention mechanisms.
• Learn and maintain domain knowledge of fraud prevention techniques and technologies.
• Maintain or exceed SLAs for timely resolution of cases to minimize losses.
• Handle escalations from internal and external stakeholders professionally.
• Utilize Claude or equivalent LLM tools to enhance productivity and research.
