BairesDev is seeking a Protocol Engineer to design and implement blockchain protocol internals, focusing on consensus, P2P connectivity, and secure transaction validation, all in a 100% remote role.

Candidates should have 8+ years in software engineering, expertise in blockchain internals, Rust or Go, cryptography, and English proficiency, with the ability to work with a global research community and flexible hours.

Formación

• 8+ years of software engineering experience in blockchain or systems programming.
• Experience designing and implementing blockchain protocol internals and consensus mechanisms.
• Proficiency in Rust or Go and low-level programming concepts.
• Strong knowledge of P2P networking, cryptography, and distributed state management.
• Advanced English proficiency.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop core blockchain protocol components including consensus mechanisms and state management.
• Implement and optimize peer-to-peer networking layers for robust node communication.
• Apply cryptographic principles to secure transaction validation and protocol upgrades.
• Write high-performance, system-level code in Rust or Go to maintain protocol integrity.
• Collaborate with the research community to evaluate and implement distributed systems features.
• Ensure the reliability and security of the protocol through testing and performance tuning.
