BairesDev is seeking a Rust Systems Engineer to design and build high-performance, memory-safe systems components using Rust. You will apply ownership and borrowing concepts to deliver efficient, low-level software with C-like performance.

This role is 100% remote with flexible hours and global collaboration. We provide hardware and software setup for you to work from home and offer competitive USD or local currency compensation.

Formación

• 4+ years of experience in systems programming or software engineering with a focus on Rust.
• Proven expertise in building high-performance systems software using Rust.
• Deep understanding of Rust ownership, borrowing, and memory safety principles.
• Strong background in low-level systems programming and performance optimization without garbage collection.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement performance-critical systems software using Rust's ownership and borrowing model.
• Optimize low-level code for memory safety and execution speed in performance-sensitive contexts.
• Develop and maintain low-level abstractions and interfaces for core system components.
• Implement robust, thread-safe concurrency models to support high-throughput processing.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure system reliability and efficient resource utilization.
• Analyze and troubleshoot complex systems-level issues to maintain high availability and performance.
