Job summary

Bush & Bush Law Group, a dynamic personal injury law firm, is seeking a highly motivated Medical Assistant (English/Spanish - Bilingual) to join our remote team. The role supports case management, medical record handling, and lien research across up to 40 active cases.

Responsibilities include reviewing medical treatments, requesting records, and providing weekly status updates to ensure timely completion of affidavits and provider communications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Experience in a medical assistant, medical office, or healthcare-related role is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, billing codes, and medical records management is preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Review and track medical treatment status across treatment lifecycles.
• Request and obtain medical and billing records and affidavits.
• Verify record accuracy and completeness for efficient processing.
• Contact providers for status updates on records and affidavits, primarily by phone.
• Provide weekly status updates on records and affidavits.
• Research and manage subrogation liens, including Medicaid/Medicare and hospital liens.
• Caseload management for 30-40 active cases, with growth potential.
• Assist the Case Manager in confirming that clients have received necessary medical treatment.
