Job summary

briefCASE Legal Support, LLC is seeking an experienced Case Manager to lead a team of Legal Assistants supporting a Texas-based personal injury firm. You will oversee case workflows, maintain quality standards, and deliver efficient, client-focused legal support.

This hands-on leadership role requires coaching, performance management, and close collaboration with U.S. attorneys to ensure timely milestones and high service levels. Remote work with overlapping U.S. hours is required.

Qualifications

• At least five years of Legal Assistant or comparable legal support experience.
• Two to three years of supervisory or team management experience.
• Strong understanding of legal terminology, case management, and legal documentation.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
• Experience with case management software such as Filevine and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor, and support Legal Assistants through training, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Monitor case progress, assign tasks according to workload and priorities, and review work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with firm procedures.
• Oversee pre-litigation and litigation workflows, assist with case preparation, and help ensure matters progress toward milestones and resolution.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs), evaluate team performance, address performance concerns, and promote accountability.
• Coordinate with attorneys and team members to address case needs, resolve issues, and maintain high standards of client service.
• Identify workflow improvements, promote consistent procedures, and assist with resource planning and other departmental needs.
