Fortinet is seeking a technical pre-sales engineer in Medellín to qualify sales leads from a technical perspective and to be the main technical resource on sales calls, addressing features, specs, and integration.

The role requires deep experience with LAN/WAN, Wireless deployments, site surveys, DNS, NFS, SMTP, HTTP, TCP/IP, and security technologies. You will work with engineering and support to resolve customer issues and drive post-sales training when needed.

Qualifikationen

• Field sales experience.
• Experience in technical/pre-sales support as a sales or systems engineer
• Experience in LAN/WAN/Internet services administration
• Experience with Wireless technologies, deploying, supporting and doing site surveys.
• Solid understanding of Wireless Authentication technologies
• Exceptional understanding of DNS and NFS, SMTP, HTTP, TCP/IP
• Knowledge of Routing, Switching, VPN, LAN, WAN, Network Security, Intrusion Detection, and Anti-Virus.
• Understanding of protocols: RADIUS, PKI, IKE, Certificates, L2TP, IPSEC, FIREWALL, 802.1Q, MD5, SSH, SSL, SHA1, DES, 3DES
• Experience with encryption and authentication technologies required

Aufgaben

• Pre-sales - assistance in qualifying sales leads from a technical standpoint.
• Sales calls - main technical resource on sales calls and educate the customer on features and integration.
• Conversant with networking applications and solutions.
• Post-sales - lead technical contact for identified accounts for technical issues, coordinating with support and engineering.
• Identify customers needing post-sales training.
