Job summary

Provana is seeking a Paralegal to support attorneys in personal injury cases from intake through resolution. You will handle case investigations, medical records, document prep, and client communications, collaborating with attorneys, clients, insurers, and medical providers.

Fluent English and Spanish are required; prior US personal injury paralegal experience is preferred. Proximity to Colombia Medellín with on-site opportunities is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in law or equivalent legal support experience.

Responsibilities

Job description

As a Paralegal in Provana, you will support attorneys in managing personal injury cases from intake through resolution. This role focuses on case investigation, medical records management, document preparation, and client communication. You will play a key role in ensuring cases progress efficiently while working closely with attorneys, clients, insurance carriers, and medical providers. Curious what a day in this role looks like? Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct legal and factual research related to personal injury matters, including liability, damages, and negligence.
• Draft, review, and e-file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and settlement demands.
• Maintain and organize electronic case files, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and accessibility.
• Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, medical providers, court personnel, and opposing counsel to obtain information and coordinate case activities.
• Assist attorneys in preparing for depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials, including managing exhibits and witness materials.
• Monitor case progress and provide status updates to attorneys and clients as needed.
• Contribute to team meetings and process improvements to enhance case management efficiency.

• Advanced/Fluent English and Spanish (writtenand verbal) are required.
• Minimumof 1yearofexperiencein U.S. PersonalInjury litigation paralegalwork.

• Hands-onexperiencewithMicrosoft Office Suite.
• Experience handling medical records and accident reports.
• Proficiency with legal research tools and electronic filing systems.
• Familiarity with case management software.
