TAS Environmental Services is seeking an HR Generalist to support staffing, onboarding, and employee relations across multiple sites. The role combines administrative tasks with strategic HR responsibilities to ensure smooth people operations.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in employee relations, knowledge of HR disciplines, and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Travel to regional sites is expected to support payroll and onboarding activities.

Formación

• Minimum of 5 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
• Working knowledge of compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and relevant federal and state laws.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience partnering with safety teams.

Responsabilidades

• Recruits, interviews, and facilitates hiring for open positions; collaborates with managers to understand required skills and competencies.
• Onboards new employees including equipment ordering and onboarding paperwork.
• Records/tracks company-issued equipment using the HRIS tracking tool.
• Conducts or procures background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
• PX Generalists visit at least two operational sites per week within their region.
• Handles employment-related inquiries and refers complex matters to appropriate staff.
• Maintains compliance with employment laws and reviews policies to ensure adherence.
• Keeps knowledge up-to-date on HR trends and employment law.
• Be the primary backup for payroll processing and biweekly updates to files.
• Maintains accurate employee records including attendance and leaves.
• Completes employment verification requests (Non-DOT).
• Assists with New Hire Orientation sessions.
