Job summary

AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Mid-level Data Engineer in Pereira, Colombia to build and maintain dbt pipelines and Snowflake data marts powering customer-facing reporting and AI features.

You will handle data ingestion and orchestration, model design, and data quality, while ensuring PII safety and robust documentation. The role demands 3+ years in analytics/data engineering, strong SQL/Python, and experience with Snowflake and tools like Airbyte or Prefect.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in analytics engineering or data engineering on production pipelines.
• Solid dbt experience: modeling, tests, macros, incremental models.
• Strong SQL and Python.
• Data modeling fundamentals: dimensional modeling, data marts, grain and conformance.
• Experience with a modern cloud warehouse (Snowflake preferred).
• Experience with ingestion tooling and orchestration (Airbyte, Prefect, or equivalents).
• Familiarity with agentic coding tools and guardrails around their output.
• Software engineering discipline for analytics code: Git, code review, CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain dbt pipelines, data marts, and warehouse models for reporting and analytics.
• Translate business logic into maintainable, tested pipeline code.
• Develop models within the data mart architecture with proper grain and conformance.
• Contribute to semantic layer for MCP servers and AI agents.
• Maintain boundary between PII and agent/reporting-safe data.
• Build and maintain FastAPI services exposing reporting marts to customers.
• Create ingestion pipelines (Airbyte, OneSchema, S3) into the warehouse.
• Implement data quality checks and alerting to surface issues early.
• Document lineage and definitions for consistent analytics.
