Job summary

AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Mid-level Data Engineer in Manizales, Colombia to build and maintain dbt pipelines and Snowflake data marts behind customer-facing reporting and analytics.

The role requires solid dbt experience, strong SQL and Python, and experience with ingestion/orchestration tools such as Airbyte or Prefect. You will contribute to the semantic layer, ensure data quality, & maintain data governance across PII and non-PII data while building FastAPI services for reporting marts

Qualifications

• 3+ years in analytics engineering or data engineering on production pipelines.
• Solid dbt experience: modeling, tests, macros, incremental models.
• Strong SQL and Python skills.
• Dimensional modeling and data marts fundamentals.
• Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud warehouse.
• Ingestion/orchestration tools like Airbyte, Prefect.
• Upper-intermediate English level.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain dbt pipelines, data marts, and warehouse models for in-app reporting and analytics.
• Translate complex procurement logic into maintainable pipeline code.
• Develop models within data mart architecture and suggest improvements.
• Contribute to semantic layer and governance of metrics for consistent querying.
• Maintain data boundary for PII and safe reporting data.
• Create FastAPI services exposing reporting marts to customers.
• Build ingestion pipelines (Airbyte, OneSchema, S3) into the warehouse.
• Implement data quality checks, freshness, and tests.
• Document lineage and keep guardrails and testing in place.
