Job summary

AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Mid-level Data Engineer in Medellín to build and maintain dbt pipelines and Snowflake data marts powering customer reporting, spend analytics, and AI features.

You will handle ingestion, orchestration with Airbyte or Prefect, and develop FastAPI services to expose reporting marts. Strong SQL, Python, and data modeling are essential, with an upper-intermediate English level expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in analytics engineering or data engineering on production pipelines.
• Solid dbt experience: modeling, tests, macros, and incremental models.
• Strong SQL and Python abilities.
• Data modeling fundamentals: dimensional modeling and data marts.
• Experience with a modern cloud warehouse (Snowflake preferred).
• Experience with ingestion tooling and orchestration (Airbyte, Prefect, or equivalents).
• Familiarity with guardrails around data tooling and AI/agent driven queries.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain dbt pipelines, data marts, and warehouse models for reporting and analytics.
• Translate complex procurement logic into maintainable pipeline code.
• Develop models within the data mart architecture with conformed dimensions and incremental patterns.
• Contribute to a semantic layer for consistent metrics and dimensions.
• Maintain boundary between PII and reporting-safe data and expose data via FastAPI services.
• Ingest data into the warehouse using Airbyte, OneSchema, and S3; support Forward Deployed Engineering.
• Implement data quality checks, freshness, and tests; ensure reliable data for customers.
